Components Production Manager

We are a renowned manufacturer based in New Brunswick that has been serving clients throughout North America and abroad. As the Components Production Manager, you’ll be integral to our multiple-award-winning company contributing to life-saving ambulance manufacturing, enabling independence through wheelchair accessible conversions and safeguarding vehicle investments with our composite products.

 

Role Overview:

In this challenging and dynamic new role, you will ensure the timely and accurate supply of a diverse range of manufactured parts and sub assemblies required for vehicle conversions. Additionally, you’ll be responsible for meeting the evolving demands of our growing number of external customers who utilize our manufactured goods in their vehicle assemblies or commercial activities.

Reporting to the Director of Operations, you’ll excel at collaborating with the Vehicle Manufacturing Manager and engaging with other key stakeholders. Including inventory management, purchasing, finance, sales, and engineering teams. This role requires a high degree of technical knowledge, problem solving skills, organizational prowess, forward planning ability, adaptability, and leadership. 

 

Role / Responsibilities:

  • Use strong technical knowledge for production processes and quality control.
  • Lead teams effectively and motivate others with excellent leadership skills.
  • Conduct employee performance evaluations.
  • Manage scheduling, resource allocation, and planning to prioritize parts build schedules to optimize internal/external requirements.
  • Maintain clear communication and coordination with vehicle production, inventory, engineering and purchasing teams.
  • Identify and address production issues, bottlenecks, and material shortages with adept problem-solving abilities: 
  • Ensure a steadfast commitment to maintaining high quality standards.
  • Adapt to changing priorities and deadlines with flexibility.
  • Prioritize worker safety and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Proactively drive efficiency and innovation with a continuous improvement mindset.

 

Requirements:

  • Training or experience in industrial manufacturing 
  • 5+ years’ experience leading manufacturing teams
  • Strong written and verbal skills. 
  • Bilingualism not required, but would be a definite asset.
  • Team leadership ability.
  • Good attention to detail in all areas of document management and work.

Compensation: Commensurate with demonstrated skills
