Summary of Business:

We are one of the largest manufacturers of interconnect products in the world. We design, manufacture and market electrical, electronic and fiber optic connectors, coaxial and flat-ribbon cable, and interconnect systems.

The primary end markets for our products are communications and information processing markets, including cable television, cellular telephone and data communication and information processing systems; aerospace and military electronics; and automotive, rail and other transportation and industrial applications.

Job Description:

  • Compile the paperwork associated with First Article Inspection packages
  • Compile customer data packages
  • Create & document inspection records and ballooned drawings
  • Review final inspection documents
  • Audit vendor documents. Liaison with vendors and issue supplier corrective actions as needed.
  • Inspect & measure components/assemblies for compliance to internal engineering drawings and/or customer specifications
  • Perform measurement, analysis using CMM and other measuring equipment
  • Create detailed Non-Conformance Reports, Quality Alerts and Escape Prevention Checklists
  • Provide support for mechanical & electrical test related activities

 

Aspects of Position:

  • Exposure to learn different types of metrologies, standards, Mil specs.
  • Always under heavy demands as multiple jobs will be at the same time
  • Exposure to various types of products from all different manufacturing shops

 

Qualifications:

  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in using mechanical measuring instruments
  • Computer skills and MS Office
  • Knowledge of quality standards and measuring methods
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Easily adapts to a changing environment
  • High attention to detail
  • Post-secondary education preferred

 

Desired:

  • Experience in Lean Six Sigma tools.
  • Knowledge of Statistical process control methods.
  • Experience in CMM and Vision system operation.
  • Knowledge of ANSI standards.
  • Knowledge of different manufacturing methods. Diploma in Metrology, engineering technology or related fields
