JOB SUMMARY:

The purpose of this position is to prepare, analyze, and review budget information in compliance with established fiscal policies and report criteria; monitor CCWA’s cash position and some investments; perform bank reconciliations and requisition/PO approvals; add/close jobs; review budgets, make budget revisions, and prepare annual proposed budget documents; and prepare monthly constructions reports.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 

  • Maintains job, and project estimates; updates information in job costing system; and analyzes monthly
  • Checks purchase orders for accuracy and completeness; approves requisitions/POs; verifies availability of funds; applies proper account coding when necessary; analyzes budget variances; processes budget revisions; and coordinates with various departments to resolve budgetary issues.
  • Assists in annual budget preparation as well as quarterly budget review and
  • Performs bank reconciliations for all funds, cash accounts, and
  • Assists end-users with use of JD Edwards regarding requisitions and
  • Prepares construction
  • Processes a variety of documentation associated with Department/Division operations within designated timeframes and per established procedures; receives and reviews various documentation; reviews, completes, processes, forwards or retains as appropriate; prepares or completes various forms, reports, correspondence, and other documentation; compiles data for further processing or for use in preparation of Department reports; and maintains computerized and/or hardcopy records.
  • Performs other assigned

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO PERFORM WORK: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management or a related field; two (2) years of related work experience in accounting, accounts payable, and budget preparation and monitoring; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.
  • Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in performance of the essential functions and learn, comprehend, and apply all CCWA or departmental policies, practices, and procedures necessary to function effectively in the position.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • This position classifies the physical exertion requirements as light work involving lifting no more than 10 pounds at a time with frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 Even though the weight lifted may be very little, a job is in this category when it requires a good deal of walking or standing, or when it involves sitting most of the time with some pushing and pulling of arm or leg controls. To be considered capable of performing a full or wide range of light work, one must have the ability to do substantially all of these activities. If someone can do light work, then he or she can also do sedentary work, unless there are additional limiting factors such as loss of fine dexterity or inability to sit for long periods of time.
  • Tasks may involve some pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of light weight; tasks may also involve extended periods of time at a keyboard or work station. Some tasks require the ability to perceive and discriminate colors or shades of colors, sounds, and visual cues or signals. Some tasks require the ability to communicate orally.
