ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to the Manager – Decision Support Services the Decision Support Analyst provides analytical support for continuous quality improvement and planning assists in development of performance indicators and reports to meet management decision needs and acts as system administrator for corporate reporting systems.

WHAT YOU BRING

Education/Experience:

• A bachelor's degree in business health administration information management or a related discipline
• Minimum one year experience with data collection and analysis

 

Skills/Abilities:

• Superior ability to communicate effectively and concisely both orally and in writing at a level appropriate to the target audience
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
• Ability to work independently interdependently and participate as contributing member of various teams to meet service goals
• Ability to analyze data and present information in a meaningful way
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Demonstrated time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks
• Advanced skills in data management and manipulation using Microsoft Excel
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Word
• Demonstrated regular attendance at work

 

Asset:

• Knowledge of Ontario healthcare funding methodologies and datasets

• Experience working in a healthcare setting

• Experience with Power BI

• Working knowledge of a programming language (Python, VBA) for data manipulation and automation

 

Conditions of Employment:

• This position shall be conditional upon a satisfactory Criminal Record & Judicial Matters Check (CRJMC) where indicated, to ensure the absence of relevant criminal convictions.
• May be required to travel to various work locations and provide own transportation
