Sheridan Nurseries, Georgetown, is actively searching for a:
Head Mechanic
Position Summary
The Head Mechanic will perform daily mechanical duties to our equipment including repairs and installations of auxiliary gear on our operating machinery and small engines.
Accountabilities
Perform mechanical repairs on equipment in the shop and field calls when required
Installation and modification of new and added-on equipment.
Electrical and hydraulic troubleshooting and diagnosis
Good record keeping including work orders, invoices, supervising and time reporting
Prioritizing and scheduling.
Outsourcing and parts sourcing
Skills Required
310T and 310S Certification.
Work on hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, electronics and controls.
Experience with farm and construction equipment: tractors, backhoes, gators, skid steers, etc.
Provides own tools.
General computer skills are essential
Valid drivers license and Class AZ license is preferred.
Ability to work independently in a busy environment including outdoor work (service calls to field, etc.)
