Expressway Trucks - View All Jobs From Expressway Trucks
Scott Lawson began his business in Windsor, Ontario in 1983 as Lawson Truck Body. The company developed many good working relationships and the business was soon extended to include general truck repairs. In 1990 the company expanded and took on the name Expressway Trucks Windsor.
Expressway flourished while operating for several years as an original equipment manufacturers subdealer. Scott was aware that to further his business he needed a prime location. In 1995 he acquired property adjacent to one of the busiest traffic corridors in the country and Expressway Windsor began operations in its present location just south of Highway 401.
The business grew steadily as did Expressway's customer base and in 1998 the company planned an expansion into new territory. The following year Expressway bought Viking Trucks Sales Inc., a Volvo heavy truck dealership in Waterloo, Ontario. Scott was aware that the company, known as Volvo Trucks Waterloo, was not realizing its full potential. He immediately made plans to build a larger, more visible location along Highway 401.
Construction of the new facility was well underway in the fall of 1999 when disaster struck, in the form of an unusually fierce storm, which collapsed the structure. Three years passed as the company maintained its' focus on customer satisfaction while it continued to outgrow the facilities. Being no stranger to adversity, Scott soldiered on while keeping the moral of his staff and customers high. The new building was finally completed in May of 2002.
Strength was built from hardship as the new facility came together. The new location along with additional facilities and support staff has combined to make this one of premiere Volvo Truck dealers in Canada. Within a year the company was racing toward new record sales in all departments. Innovative thought and clear vision lead Expressway to many new profit opportunities and satisfied customers along the way.
Expressway continues to exceed our competition in both sales and service proven by winning many industry awards year after year.
