Order Desk Representative/Labourer
Location: Fort McMurray, Alberta
Reports To: Manager, Branch

Summary Overview:

The Order Desk Representative/Labourer is responsible to ensure effective sales and support to
internal and external customers. This position is also responsible to manage all warehouse and
manufacturing including oversight of all production and shipping/receiving functions.

Primary Accountabilities & Result Areas:
1) Complete the quotation process and follow ups in a timely manner to maximize sales
opportunities
2) Provide exceptional performance to the customer when responding to requests for returns, order
tracking and other concerns
3) Overseeing and managing full spectrum shipping and receiving including counts/product
verification, fulfilling customer demands and restock/replenishment
4) Interpret documentation – packing slips, bills of material, material receiving documentation

Typical Duties, Actions and Responsibilities:
• Receive and process orders by phone, fax, email
• Emphasize product features and benefits, quote prices and prepare sales order forms
quickly and accurately
• Present technical knowledge/support/recommendations to customers
• Checking inventory for product availability, providing delivery dates to customers and
verifying prices
• Attend periodic sales/product training where applicable
• Prepare required paperwork for shipment with a clear understanding of company
documentation
• Packaging orders for shipment while ensuring accuracy in regard to quality and quantity
• Participating in cycle counts and annual inventory
• Receiving inbound product and put aways
• Product kit assembly and packaging

Experience Qualifications and Related Skills:
• 2-3 years of direct work experience in a sales/warehouse capacity
• Ability to build and maintain lasting relationships with customers
• Exceptional communication skills (spoken and written)
• Self-motivated with high energy and an emerging level of enthusiasm
• High level of integrity and work ethic
• Computer skills, keyboarding
• Counterbalance forklift experience

Education Qualifications:
• High School Diploma
• Post secondary education in Business Management an asset

Working Conditions & Physical Demands:
• Overtime as required
• On call rotation
• Combination of sitting, standing and walking
• Warehouse/Manufacturing/Office environment
• Lifting up to 50lbs
