Our St. Thomas, ON location has an immediate opening for an experienced CNC Machine Operator/Programmer. If you enjoy problem solving, working with machines and have experience interpreting complex blueprints on a CNC machine, this opening may be a great fit for you!
This position works Monday to Friday from 7:30am to 4:00pm.
Duties Include:
- Performing regular maintenance on machines and related equipment
- Executing work orders in a timely fashion at an extremely high quality
- May require working flexible hours
- Training new operators
Qualifications:
- AutoCAD experience
- Experience operating a 5-Axis CNC machine (HOMAG preferred)
- Experience with utilizing G or M codes
- Door shop/industry experience preferred
- Carpentry/woodworking experience preferred
- Proficient in interpreting blueprints and translating them into CNC software
- Repairing damaged doors
- Attention to detail and quality, and familiarity with basic hand and power tools
- A basic mathematical aptitude and understanding of imperial measurements to the 1/32 of an inch
- Familiarity with basic shop tools (saws, nail guns, pneumatic tools, and drills)
- Physical ability to frequently and safely lift up to 50 lbs.
