We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Application Specialist/Engineer to join our team on our new product line!

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide field service support
  • Provide Installation Supervision, and Commissioning at users’ sites
  • Carry out Site Acceptance Testing and Commissioning Sign Off
  • Prepare site commissioning reports
  • Test & troubleshoot customer units and systems
  • Prepare written configuration, installation, test, commissioning and/or service records for customer orders and field service work
  • Identify problems and initiate corrective actions or recommend solutions
  • Provide remote product and diagnostics support to customers
  • Provide technical assistance to customers and users
  • Provide Technical Assistance to Sales
  • Provide product feedback for development of new products

 

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Electrical/Electronic Technologist diploma or BCSC degree preferred
  • PEO membership or eligibility/in training is good but optional
  • 3+ years experience
  • Experience in industrial experience in a plant /factory, customer field service preferred.
  • Knowledge of industrial instrumentation (shape, flatness, image processing, width, speed, length measurement)
  • Industrial electrical automation
  • industrial electrical/electronic controls
  • Level 1 : AC/DC drives, PLC, industrial Ethernet networks
  • Data storage (ibaPDA, Empress, SCADA)
  • Level 2 communication protocols (Ethernet TCP/IP, Modbus, EGD, Profibus)
  • Human machine interface (HMI)
  • Digital cameras, lasers, etc
