We Are Seeking:

  • Up to 3-5 Marine Technicians
  • 1 Head Technician to lead the shop & daily duties (Must have 3+ years minimum)
  • 2 Knowledgeable Technicians with a passion for the industry (Must have 2+ years minimum)
  • 1-2 Marine Technician Apprentices (6 months to 1 year experience)

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Plan and organize daily requirements for maintenance and repairs
  • Review daily maintenance logs reported by Fishing Guides & Dock Staff
  • Servicing fleet identical Triumph boats & Evinrude e-tec outboard motors ranging from 9.9hp, 15hp H.O., 135hp H.O., 225hp, 250hp G2 outboard engines to insure they are in working order
  • We also have some Honda and Mercury Outboards in our rental fleet
  • Rebuilding lower units after impacts, or ordering in gear case housings and using scrapped parts to rebuild lower units for cost effective savings
  • Installing/ swapping out lower units onto outboards
  • Summarizing/ winterizing boats and motors
  • Swapping out/ replacing powerheads on Outboard motors
  • Submitting warranty claims with BRP & Honda
  • Order parts online from BRP & Honda
  • Ensure all tools and equipment are in good working condition, organized and secured
  • Maintain accurate log of repairs completed,
  • Plan & organize jobs for your crew of 1-2 other tech’s working under you (IF lead tech only)
  • Operates vehicles and equipment in accordance with all safety regulations

 

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years' in a marine tech role
  • Marine certifications are a plus but not necessary
  • Experience in the safe and proper use of a variety of power & air tools
  • Knowledge of re-building lower units
  • Knowledge in diagnosing outboard engine issues with computer software
  • Highly organized and strong communication skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Ability to lift & carry 50+ lbs, able to stand/walk for 8+ hours
  • Ability to help after hours for emergencies (banked time offered)
  • Enjoys a challenge
  • WHMIS certification an asset.
