Summary of Business:

We are one of the largest manufacturers of interconnect products in the world. We design, manufacture and market electrical, electronic and fiber optic connectors, coaxial and flat-ribbon cable, and interconnect systems.

The primary end markets for our products are communications and information processing markets, including cable television, cellular telephone and data communication and information processing systems; aerospace and military electronics; and automotive, rail and other transportation and industrial applications.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Creation and completion of Non-Conformance and Corrective Action Reports in a team environment using problem solving tools:
  • Support and completion of First Article Inspection Reports including documents, quality issues, and internal auditing
  • Review and completion of full material declarations and certificates of conformance, or declaration letters pertaining to RoHS, REACH, SVHC,
  • Intake SDS reports, evaluation of safety requirements for new chemicals, updating and managing the SDS database
  • Collecting and reporting on Key Performance Indicator metrics
  • Asset Requisition writing
  • PO placement of required parts and material supplies
  • Expected to work with and contribute to continuous improvement in such ways as participating in cross-functional teams
  • Understand customer, industry standards (i.e., Mil Spec, Aerospace, etc.) and internal QTP qualification test requirements
  • Plan and develop Process Work Instructions, Procedures, Forms and other supporting standardized documentation
  • Maintain, communicate, and archive documents as required
  • Instruct, mentor, and guide students and other personnel on as needed basis
  • Responding to root cause corrective actions for Corrective Action Reports (CARs) as a leading or participating team member
  • Assist with Gauge Calibration, tracking, and internal, and external calibration sourcing
  • Continuous Improvement Projects as required to improve business capability and capacity

 

Qualifications:

  • Diploma/Degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Quality Engineering or equivalent combination of training and experience, preferably in an aerospace or electronics manufacturing/assembly environment
  • Project Management skills
  • Knowledge of quality concepts and testing methods
  • 3+ years of experience with comprehensive Quality Management Systems - preferably with AS9100
  • Internal auditing to AS9100D would be an asset
  • Ability to assess quality performance and corrective action
  • Knowledgeable in risk assessment and process capability
  • Experience with part and process evaluation and qualification (APQP/PPAP) would be an asset
  • Problem solving and quality improvement skills (IE, FMEA, 8D and DOE)
  • Failure analysis experience
  • Measurement and/or inspection experience
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
  • Computer skills and MS Office
