We have an immediate opening for a Construction Contract Administrator at our Brantford facility.

Salary: $45,000 to $60,000

Overview of Position:  Reporting to the Controller the Contract Administrator is responsible for all administrative duties related to the project.

 

Duties Include: 

  • Preparation and submission of prequalification documents for projects and customers. 
  • Ensure projects adhere to corporate policies and procedures.
  • Preparation of tender forms and quotations.
  • Submit bond requests and maintain tracking and report status of outstanding bonds.
  • Entry of bid estimates into Jonas system.
  • Material costing and posting of approved supplier and sub-trade invoices to project costs.
  • Preparation and submission of monthly project construction draws, reporting and submit invoices in accordance to contract documents.  Track and invoice release of project holdbacks.
  • Preparation and submission of invoices, statutory declarations, insurance documents, WSIB clearances and reporting as required by contract.
  • Maintain project files for all contract, billing and costs.
  • Attend project startup meetings, close out meetings and ensure completion and retention of project forms and documents including notice of projects.
  • Track invoice holdbacks and request and invoice their release in accordance to contract.
  • Preparation and submission of union wage cost recovery claims.
  • Preparation and distribution of various project costing reports for review by management.
  • Administer annual inventory count.
  • Maintain Jonas software system job billing module and provide training to others.

 

 Requirements:

  • 3+ years of construction administration experience
  • Proficient in MS Office and computerized construction project billing software
  • Strong communication skills
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong mathematical and typing skills.
  • Have a valid driver’s license and ability to provide a driver’s abstract.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong knowledge of business fundamentals and analytical skills.
