About The Role

  • Continually develop Set Up Technicians and Machine Operator’s skill sets
  • Set Up bag machines
  • Ensure that all production reports are filled out
  • Print all carton labels and skid tags
  • Organize shift production schedule and manpower.
  • Delegate tasks to operators as required.
  • Ensure all finished products is packaged and labeled as per docket specifications 
  • Notify the Department Supervisor of any quality, scheduling conflicts, production shortages, docket discrepancies, or other issues that may affect customer delivery dates
  • When required fill in for Bag Machine Operators and Set Up Technicians
  • Trouble shoot the process as required
  • Ensure that safety standards are met and maintained at all times
  • Ensure adequate production supplies are available at the bag machine for current orders being run
  • Maintain training objectives through the use of the training sign off sheet
  • Ensure all production equipment is maintained in a safe and good working order through effective use of Maintenance Work orders

 

Requirements

  • Eligible to work in Canada
  • Ability to work 12-hour rotating continental shift
  • Work overtime as required
  • Satisfactorily complete training courses
  • Some supervisory or leadership experience
  • Good Mechanical aptitude
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
  • 2+ years or more experience as a machine setup operator is an asset
  • Ability perform the essential functions of the job with or without accommodation
