POSITION OVERVIEW: 

The successful candidate will be responsible supporting all aspects of installations, trouble shooting, maintenance and repair of both equipment & facilities, to ensure all work is performed in an efficient and cost effective manner.  Candidate must be available to work a shift rotation.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • General maintenance duties on all equipment and facilities
  • Perform safety check up on equipment
  • Assist with pre-maintenance duties
  • Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts
  • Operate machine tools such as lathes and grinders to fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance or set-up of machinery
  • Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on machinery
  • Installation of equipment using hand, power tools and welding equipment
  • Comply to all required EHS policies and procedures, reporting injuries, occurrences or near misses to Plant Management or EHSQ Coordinator
  • Ensure that all the required personnel protective equipment is worn at all times and in the required areas
  • Prioritizes maintenance tasks, monitor and report status
  • Able to research parts / suppliers, work with plant procurement to acquire quotations
  • Maintain departmental records and documentation requirements
  • Keep work area neat & tidy
  • Other related duties as required

 

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ontario provincial or inter-provincial (Red Seal) millwright trade certificate
  • 5+ years certified Millwright experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Fabrication experience with advanced welding and the ability to interpret blueprints
  • Experience operating class 1-5 lift trucks and man lifts
  • Experience working with print and post print related equipment would be an asset
  • Ability to communicate and document repairs utilizing applicable computer software
