The National Sales Manager manages a team of Regional Sales Managers and Outsides Sales Representatives in their assigned area. They support the sales’ group by providing them with the training they need to increase their individual sales.  The National Sales Manager is also responsible for maintaining relationships with important clients and training the sales’ group to handle various accounts. They are responsible for meeting with customers and building a strong relationship with General Contractors and/or Project Managers. They must know market conditions, pricing, competition, competitor products, customer credit risks, etc. to develop an approach to share this information with their sales team. This position has a flexibility to report to any nearby branch location.

 

Responsibilities

  • Plan sales strategies for increasing sales
  • Develop annual and monthly budgets
  • Responsible for all field activity of Regional Sales Managers for assigned, prospected, and converted accounts, including customer relations, product application and stability, product sales and delivery, service and product installation instruction and collections
  • Provide support and guidance to Regional Sales Managers regarding customers, accounts, quoting, pricing and customer satisfaction
  • Ensure Regional Sales Managers and Sales Representatives are achieving their full potential and have access to appropriate support
  • Interview, hire, and train new Regional Sales Managers and Sales Representatives
  • Develop sales department policies for employees and ensure company sales processes are followed
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers
  • Conduct market research related to customer’s needs
  • Present new sales techniques and strategies to the team
  • Ensure sales targets are hit each quarter
  • Be accessible and responsive to the requests of customers
  • Participate in various departmental and interdepartmental training as required

 

Qualifications

  • 7-10+ years commercial/residential/building envelope sales management experience
  • Possess computer skills including advanced skills using Customer Relationship Management databases such as Salesforce and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel)
  • Solid understanding of the commercial/residential Roofing, building envelope and siding/construction industry
  • Ability to lead a team to success
  • Ability to travel, have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Valid passport
  • Ability to accurately read and interpret blueprints, and to effectively use electronic software and systems (Salesforce, etc.) to quote, sell and order products for customers
  • Ability to make cold-calls and always looking for new sales opportunities within assigned territory
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence
  • Excellent analytical and reporting skills
  • Strong critical thinking skills
  • Adaptability to market changes and trends
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge
  • Proficient in speaking, reading, and writing in English
  • No fear of heights
  • Ability to work under pressure

 

Working Conditions

  • High availability according to business needs
  • Salary paid based on 40 hours/week, exempt position
