CIVIL EQUIPMENT OPERATORS
- Ability to read and understand civil drawings with a proficiency to make calculations and adjustments in grades
Experience in excavations, general civil or utility mainline / servicing is preferred.
- Experience in installation of storm sanitary water and hydro/tel components
- Become familiar with equipment and tasks, ensuring the equipment is used for the right application in accordance with operating manuals
- Perform daily safety and maintenance checks: clean, maintain and secure all equipment as directed by legislation, policies and procedures
- Cooperate with co-workers, clients and other contractors with a team-oriented attitude
- Identify hazards on site, work in and implement safe work practices and procedures
- Contribute to health and safety for all workers and the public
Job Requirements:
- Valid BC driver's license and reliable transportation required, own PPE required.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in the civil construction sector
- Able to work under pressure and work long hours as required
- Must be safety orientated, self-motivated and work well with others
- Must be reliable, dependable, and punctual
- Full time position expecting to start ASAP
- Expected to work 40-50 hours per week
- Work is generally limited to the Fraser Valley, but not limited to Chilliwack to Surrey
