This Production Scheduler will play a critical role to manage the production plan and monitor production and deployment out of the bakery. This role is ideal for someone who has excellent organizational and problem solving skills as well as familiarity with food production or fast moving consumer goods.

 

CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Analyzes current orders and upcoming forecasts, as well as delays and constraints to prioritize, plan and schedule the production operations in conjunction with Capacity Planners and Bakery Managers/Production Supervisors
  • Finite (daily, product, line) scheduling of bakery lines for current and next week
  • Manage or attend daily network update call to identify and troubleshoot opportunities
  • Responsible for production communication with multiple bakeries
  • Validates on hand inventory for production with Material Planner
  • Participates in Bakery Supply Review and validates schedule for long term planning
  • Coordinate with material planners and capacity planners at end of product life cycle
  • Reconciles production against plan to validate bakery attainment

 

ABOUT YOU:

  • Completion of relevant College or University program (Business or Engineering preferred)
  • 1 or more years experience in production, material or supply planning
  • Experience in the food or fast moving consumer goods industry an asset
  • Strong computer skills (Excel and other MS Office, SAP an asset)
  • Ability to work independently without supervision
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail
  • Proven organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Bilingual English/French not required but an asset
